21 of 22 people found the following review helpful. A horrid reproduction. By Jeremy B. Blevins The text is so faint that it mostly looks like a series of vertical lines, and in many places is this edition, is completely unreadable. It is a shame, because this book serves as retort to the version of the "facts" that we've been given in history books. To actually read the book I recommend the online version available from the Library of Congress.

I generally find an interesting piece of information that requires that I in turn find another source or two for confirmation, I end up reading several books. What we have been told about "the war between the states" (I will no longer call it a civil war) is revisionist history and a fraud as to what the facts actually were. My trust level of those we entrust to give us the facts and not treat us like mushrooms is at an all time low.

9 of 9 people found the following review helpful. Interesting By AnthonyOhio Some of the pages are difficult to read, but the content is very interesting - especially when taken in context of the author and time written. Definitely a different side to the story.
