7 of 8 people found the following review helpful. Fabulous Research By Ravzender Michael Rutter did fabulous research on the famous women of the Wild West that you seldom hear about. His research adds quite a bit to the historical West that, I feel, more people need to know about. I used this book as research for my own novel I'm writing. It is a great resource about prostitution in the West.

This certainly was not an easy life however a few women excelled at plying their trade with great financial rewards. I enjoyed reading the book as a part of history of the old west.
